Our Training Strategy for North America in 2014

Since forming Lean Kanban University in 2011 and creating a group of accredited trainers, David J. Anderson & Associates has backed away from offering open 2-day Kanban classes with the exception of new market and niche offerings such as our Kanban for IT Operations classes, with Dragos Dumitriu as the trainer. This is about to change in North America as we move to a direct selling and market development model for many regions of the country.

2-day Kanban Classes - changes for 2014

After 5 years of teaching 2-day Kanban classes and almost 4 years since the book, Kanban - Successful Evolutionary Change for Your Technology Business, which became the foundation for our training curriculum, and almost 300 classes later, we are making changes to the official Lean Kanban University training curriculum for 2-day classes. The existing Practitioner Level curriculum is being split into 2 x 2-day classes. These will be known as the Foundation Level curriculum and the Advanced Practitioner Level curriculum...

AKT Credential Now Available to Corporate Trainers

Lean Kanban University, Accredited Kanban Trainer (AKT) credentials are available to internal corporate trainers as well as trainers from independent training firms. There is a class of LKU membership called Internal-Corporate AKT. Such trainers are able to teach certified Kanban training classes internally at their firms and issue Lean Kanban University certificates to attendees.

Kanban Coaching Professional

Today Lean-Kanban University announced the launch of the Kanban Coaching Professional program and the designation KCP for those who have demonstrated an advanced knowledge of Kanban and success leading change initiatives using the method.

Yes - the name has been changed to reflect reality. The “Kanban Weekly Roundup” is the latest of our “Safe to Fail” experiments proving the overly ambitious weekly cadence was in need of adjustment.  Increased teaching and traveling this spring provoked a discussion resulting in a new name for this post - now simply called,  “Kanban Roundup”.  Hoping to post every other week for now.  Stay tuned!
